Soldiers Human Rights -Tragic Oxymoron!

I saw this report on the BBC wesbite, here's the original

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7342324.stm

As I read through it I found myself makings these following comments - they are in italics.

This is what I think.

What do you think? Lets be honest here.

Human rights 'apply to UK troops'

(bbc headline!)

Human rights laws can be applied to British troops even in combat, a High Court judge has ruled
.
Duh!

The landmark judgement came in a test case relating to the death of Scottish soldier Pte Jason Smith in Iraq.

Mr Justice Collins said sending soldiers into action without proper kit could breach human rights. Ministers are appealing against the ruling.

What about the human rights of those caught in the crossfire?

What kind of kit would the court estimate would be 'poper' for a woman with three children, and two grandparents caught in the crossfire?

Whose responsibility is it to provide that kit?

The court also ruled families of those killed in conflict should get legal aid and access to military documents.

Ditto…

The judgement came during a request for military inquest guidelines in the case of Pte Smith, 32, from Hawick, in the Scottish Borders, who died of heatstroke in Iraq in 2003.

Legal defeat

Moral Victory?

Phyrric Victory!

Lawyers for the Ministry of Defence (MoD) had argued it was impossible to give soldiers in combat situations the benefits of the Human Rights Act.

But Mr Justice Collins said that although a duty of care could not be expected in combat, troops did not lose all protection.

So give them proper kit? Still getting shot at! And shooting back! Still murder! Still illegal!

It's an illegal war of aggression!

m8!

For example, sending a soldier out on patrol with defective equipment might be a breach of Article 2 of the Human Rights Act - the right to life, which in the event of death requires an independent inquiry.

Many believe the judgement will make it easier for the families of those injured or killed in Iraq and Afghanistan to claim for compensation.

Is it really that hard?

The decision was a legal defeat for Defence Secretary Des Browne who also had his attempt to ban coroners from using critical phrases such as "serious failure" rejected.

It is! You would sell your mothers soul for whateva!

Jocelyn Cockburn, the solicitor for Pte Smith's family, said the ruling meant British soldiers sent abroad would "have the same human rights as any other British citizens and must be properly equipped when sent into battle".

Hmmmmmmmm …. aren't human rights applicable to ALL nationalities, equally and without favour?

Duh!

Hello?

Catherine Smith, Pte Smith's mother, welcomed the decision and said she hoped other families would now not have to struggle in the same way she did to find out how their loved ones died.

"It was questions upon questions that we couldn't get - we couldn't get any information at all. And I think that's wrong. We should've had disclosure."

She's right, of course. And braver , so much more committed to just cause than many in parliament, in that she seeks to face down the Government and the MOD! She is their equal in every way. Each of us is.

'Common sense'

Diane Dernie, the mother of L/Bombadier Ben Parkinson, from Yorkshire, who was injured in an explosion in Afghanistan last year, told the BBC the decision was "absolute common sense".

Soldiers Human Rights -Tragic Oxymoron!

Liberty director Shami Chakrabarti said it was now clear it was "not just the military covenant that protects our forces all over the world".

"Their fundamental right to dignity and fair treatment must be safeguarded as well."

As well as what, might I ask?

Their right to murder people?

Their right to follow illegal orders?

Their right to NOT follow illegal orders?

... or is that a duty, under the Law?

But shadow(y) defence(sive) secretary Liam Fox said it should not have taken a court decision for ministers to realise they had "a responsibility and a moral obligation" to ensure troops were the "best trained and best equipped in the world".

Human Rights? 'Best' trained killers? 'Best' weapons of mass destruction? This is insane!

Liberal Democrat defence spokesman Nick Harvey described the ruling as a "shattering ruling for Des Browne" and said he hoped it would "wake the government up" to equipment shortages.
HAVE YOUR SAY

I must be at the wrong meeting!

The government has a moral obligation to equip those it sends into battle on our behalf properly
Matt Hennessy, London Send us your comments

Those in government, being of able body, and unmarried have a moral obligation to equip themselves appropriately and go fight the fuckin' wars themselves.

However, Mr Browne told the BBC his department had come "a long way" in response to "the changing environment both in Iraq and Afghanistan" regarding equipment.

So That's all right then! You guys are on it! Yay! LMAO!

"So this is criticism which is dated criticism from a different time. It is not applicable to the troops that are presently deployed."

Well that's nice to hear! Although ithe courts decision is a precedent! Well, OK then, possibly….

He confirmed the MoD would be appealing against the ruling that sending British soldiers into battle with defective equipment could breach human rights.

You What? Appeal? Didn't you hear the man? You really want to send young men to me maimed, traumatised, even to their deaths, men you have asked to do your dirty work for you?

You Absolute Tosser! And all who like you see fit to use legal instruments applied to mitigate murder, as opposed to banning it outright. Ist that it?

On the judge's rejection of the government's bid to stop coroners using critical language, the MoD said it had never attempted to prevent coroners from "undertaking independent investigations and making their findings public".

You quibble over wording when peoples lives are destroyed by decision that you make and their consequences.

Damn! I got taken in again, for a moment I had lost the sight of all the civilians who are the majority of casualties, across all three spectra - psychological trauma, maiming, death not to mention the collapse of society, for a moment I was really only concerned about the soldiers human rights.

Just stop the bloody war and start to make reparations, dude! It's our money. We WANT YOU TO DO THIS!

Stop the war.

....and... geuss what?

Brownie Boy

....... is NOT

..... really

..... listening!

So hit him, and all the civilian and corporate war makers where it hurts - in the pocket, to do this we need to build communities everywhere, that is talk to each other and break the spell of the denial- we all need to learn to grow food, and start to withold our taxes that we who do pay taxes, pay to central government.....and this is legaly sound and cannot be prosecuted under any law because it is merely upholding the Law, both National and International..it is do-able..... and if done....... then very soon after it will bring the wars to a close.

Then it won't matter if they don't listen. They will stand trial.

People must be mature ebough to accept the responsibility of taking any and all possible legal action that leads to stopping thes wars dead in their tracks.

Be the Law!

It's about all humans rightful expectation that peace should prevail, that greed be curbed and that wars shoudl stop. Now. Just say No!

Olympics SchmOlympircks!

The Olympic protests are great! They show the hypocrisy of all current model of Governance for what it is! Well done those who disrupt the flames progress around the globe!

Many in the Wests Media are currently pointing the finger at the Chinese Government, and many 'pundits' are commenting on China's suppression of Tibet, asking questions about China's readiness to 'enter the fold' of Democracies. They also ask questions about the apparent inability of various police forces to suppress the protesters and make comments on the 'disruption' and 'bad publicity' that the organisers, the IOC, are having to 'deal' with.

Yet few of them are realising that there are three other fingers pointing right back at themselves, and that to those who have the eyes to see, it is blindingly obvious (a neat oxymoron, if ever there was one) that those who on one hand engage in Wars of Aggression, those who export pollution to other countries to maintain the illusion of clean technologies in their own countries, those who exercise power over people rather than power for the people as standard behaviour are in no place to criticise others whose practices they supposedly abhor.

Finger One : There is the cogent fact that the West has exported almost all of it's toxic polluting manufacturing processes to China, where child labour and near as damnit indentured labour exist as standard fare for the majority, in particular those who come from the countryside...

On this our pundits remain silent. In fact most of the products they are wearing, using and consuming are made in China.

Finger Two : Furthermore, our own Governments are engaged in illegal wars of aggression in Iraq, Afghanistan and possibly in other places under covert operations..... and this is something they have always done, it is nothing new. It is our history.

Another aspect of the Olympics, though hardly worth a finger (other than in the proverbial) is the drug taking that is rife! Both amongst the athletes (performance enhancing) and those who design and build the facades, the edifices of greed, the modern day coliseums. I am sure it takes a lot of cocaine to set up the great big deals and make the 'cool' designs (most of which are truly dreadful - the London Logo being but one example!) - hubris and greed, as ever bedmates!

The survival of the fittest is a meme that Empire spreads in order to provide manure for it's agenda, and it is proven to be so far wide of the mark that it is purely by virtue of the conditioning process we have all been subjected to that it is ever discussed in an serious terms.

Bio-diversity Science tells us what the ancients knew well, because they lived on the land, with the land and saw themselves as being of the land - they knew that all nature is a life-giving co-operative, a vast altruistic interaction that provides everything within it what it needs to grow to full potential.

Finger Three : Compare that with Western Civilisation, which chews up everything it meets, spits out what is of no use either to itself or any other life form, and continues to grow, to expand, to dominate all other ways of living. Western Civilisation, being the civilisation of city states, eats up the natural resources and converts them into toxins. For what?

For profit, for greed and for power over others. All the symptoms of a profound, abysmal loss of identity, a deep sense of inadequacy and thus a fatal misunderstanding of the nature and great gift of life.

Here's my video fro my song "The Olympics are Here"

Enjoy is hardly the word, but if you have a car with a good sound system, put the song on yer player and open the windows, drive slowly and play it LOUD!

What to do.............?

A friend of mine wrote to me to tell me that he felt much of what I was saying in my writings, songs and videos ... yet he was at a loss as to what to do, .... so I fired of this to him. He liked it, so I'm putting it up here for comment....

WHAT TO DO..........

First off, be sure of who one is, ie: trust feelings, and be honest with them. Everything we have ever been told by the representatives of the system has been intended to make us forget who we are. people who are unsure will adopt an external element as an identity prop. I've done it myself, many times.

Even about 99.9% of new age stuff!

Being true to oneself, acting with integrity is vital. NEVER EVER do anything, say anything other than what you really feel.

Be one who can be broken (killed) yet NEVER BENT TO ANOTHERS WAY. We are of use to those who manipulate if we are capable of being bent....

Two - take care of your own happiness, sort your issues out as a daily yoga. This will help you see clearly what is real and what is not. Feelings are vitally important here. Recognise that emotions are merely feelings re-interpreted by the brain/mind that is conditioned. Reject the re-interpretation, and be honest.

Three - avoid fear based myth, stories etc, because fear clouds perception.

Four - eradicate any beliefs you hold. Know or accept you do not know and rest with that. It's ok! Beliefs are the basis for all religions, 99% of new age stuff, all ideologies etc....

Then, with a sense of humour, and gratitude for this life, for the fingers you did nothing to create, for the eyes you have to see, for the light that enables your eyes to work, live and be who you are. Life is a humungous gift, freely given. Treat it as such at all times.

Then, in your own way, without trying to impress anyone, spread the word, and be prepared to get involved in direct action, when the time comes. For many the time is now!

Music's function is to empower, not to impress. People who are impressed are impressionable. Which is a product of conditioning.

I can tell you this - I am not going mad. I'm getting mad as hell, outraged at what is happening. And it's coming from a man who is happy to be who he is.

There are no guarantees, and each as day passes there's far more people getting clear in themselves, and working around the 'system' than the media would ever allow. Already we outnumber the psycho control freaks by a factor of 1 million to 1....

Easter.........bunnies, music and compassion.

This weekend was Easter, it was the Zoastrian new year as well and it was also the Spring Equinox, with a beautiful full moon to boot.

For me it was a weekend of beautiful music, intelligent, compassionate people and also the appearance of the first buds of a soft, sweet Corneilius as a performer. Soft and strong, like the loo paper! lol!

I have been ranting a fair bit at gigs in the past few years, partly because I have been deeply immersed in looking directly at what is not working in our culture, at the wars, theh greed, the dysfunction, the consciously imposed plans for domination and control .... and partly because I feel there is a need and a place for the anger that comes from outrage to find expression. And also attempting to coming to terms with the reality of the needless mass pain that is inflicted as a result of those consciously crafted plans by those who seek power. I have found that I am not diminished in any way when I fully appraise the reality and allow myself to 'feel' what is going on.

Sometimes the 'rational' discussion that media engage in seems so ... heartless, devoid of hope or compassion, resigned to "well this is how it is, it can't be changed, so deal with it" sort of.....and the endless 'debate' in Politics seems to be merely a distraction, a sideshow to the underlying dynamics that make corporate greed, consumerism and fear the order of the day...

Thus I have been openly angry, openly unhappy, openly broken hearted on stage and on on-line.

This weekend I performed at a squat party as a dj, for the second time in two years (it's been that long since I was a regular dj at chill-out rooms) and I ended up playing three sets, ( Ilove to play, I am a stage slut!) about 8 hours in total. The second set, early in the morning seemed to ingnite the room, as I hit a really good vibe, and really felt into the vibe in the room. We were all in it together. It was gorgeous. I am so lucky to have such beautiful music in my possession, tracks I have found my self, and tracks given to me by some of the best djs I know..i9 was blessing all of them as track after track worked for the people inbthe room.......and it is the music that does the work, I merely select the tracks hoping it's the best track for that room, at that point in time. It's all about the dancers, the chatters, the comfort in the people....

It's all about the beauty. No need for a 'message' in that environment. No place to rant. Very refreshing indeed.

On sunday evening I did the Harmony Sunday at Inspiralled Cafe in Camden Town, and this weekend Dom, the owner, came into pass some feedback to us about how the event was going, feedback we needed....... he asked that we refocus the room so that the artists really had the peoples attention and suggested that we do 15 minute sets followed by a 10 minute break so that people could order food and drinks and chat....and geuss what, it worked beautifully.

The room was so attentive and the performers were all great. My own short set comprised 4 songs. Dom had asked me to include some different songs as I had always played the 'cup of tea' song over the past few months (along with my more rantier stuff!). So I played 4 of my sweetest gentlest songs, to match the quiet attention of the room, and it really showed me that it is my gentle, compaasionate side that is most effective in getting the message across. Everyone was intent on every note, every word. I was allowed in that environment to access the deepest emotions and feelings related to the songs, and there was also room for some humour too as I chatted in between the songs. A delight for all concerned.

set list

Keep on Moving, (keep on growing strong)
Expectations of Every Child
Love is not for Earning
The Heart Song

I also made a quick video, omn Saturday afternoon, before th gig, it's a satire, a parody highlighting the contrast in the money spent on war and the money spent on Easter Candy........

Does Education Kill Creativity?

Sir Ken Robinson makes an entertaining (and profoundly moving) case for creating an education system that nurtures creativity, rather than undermining it. With ample anecdotes and witty asides, Robinson points out the many ways our schools fail to recognize -- much less cultivate -- the talents of many brilliant people. "We are educating people out of their creativity," Robinson says. The universality of his message is evidenced by its rampant popularity online. A typical review: "If you have not yet seen Sir Ken Robinson's TED talk, please stop whatever you're doing and watch it now

Our Heart is an Intelligent, Cognitive Organ of Perception - use it!

I have been at my wits end lately what with Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and all the rest and how so many people appear to be sleepwalking though all of this..........

And in Education lies part of the answer. Part also lies in out hearts.

When people learn what education is about (as in the previous post ) they might well be, like I was, both relieved and angry. I hope that the anger of parents who realise what the state wants to do to their children, and indeed what it did to they themselves, that much will change, and rapidly. It has certainly empowered me to know the facts of the matter regarding education.

It also ties in with Alice Millers work in the psychological understanding of what happens, and has happened for quite a while, for children in our world from their point of view growing into our culture of Empire.

In clinical psychology, we now understand that a child, in particular those children who experience some form of abuse or family or social dysfunction, (common enough in our schools down the last 200 years or so), will often reach a point when the he or she realises that the adults do not ’get’ the child, the ’who I am’ of that child, and at that moment the child in facing that, experiences a deep sense of resignation " that things will never change!", that comes with a great feeling of sadness, hopelessness, and perhaps anger, all of which of course is more or less quickly supresssed as the child has to deal with the pressing realities of life. With this experience comes a shutting down of feeling. And that is the childs way of forgettting,of suppressing the unbearable truth, in order to survive....

Nonetheless it’s there, that ’wound’ if you will, in the heart of each of us.

Some do recover, the rebels, eccentric artists and others who make their own lives. Some acceptd by society, some not.

And it is to that recovery in the population of all those who have been through the system, who work and pay taxes, whose daily activities support the system that utilises war as atool of policy and power, that the Peace Movement must direct some of it’s attention to in order to really move onto the next level.

The turth must be told.

This documentary "Mindshock - Transplant Memories" shows how the heart is a seat of sentience, an organ of intelligence in and of itself!

..

This connects for me with the resignation of the child, the resignation of the people, because research has shown that the heart is what first senses in so many aspects, the brain being the secondary sensor, and the two working best in tandem. They inform each other. Education denies the intelligence of the heart, in favour of the taught thinking brain, a thinking which is conditioned to think in certain ways by the education.

By transforming the perception of the heart through this conditioning into the sentimental, the romantic or the sturdy, strong and brave, the other sensings and intelligence of the heart is masked, occluded. Denied.

We now know that it is much, much more than merely a sentimental symbol.

It is at the core of our sensing of who we are, at the core of our intelligence.

It is vital that we reclaim our heart intelligence, our innate and uniquely personal heart intelligence if we are to transform the affairs of humanity. And we are bleesed with two blessings in this. All of the above; the understanding of what has been done, the understanding of the role of the heart and also, happily for all concerned, all those who still live lives embedded in nature, the beautiful indigenous peoples of our Earth.

Their hearts are, for the most part, working with their brains.

For us, it will not neccessarily be a case of going back to nature to 'live in mud huts', though I am sure many will choose that, for our culture it will mean changing our values so that what we do to live, does no harm., and that we do this by consensus, not by being ruled.

Imagine Self-Governance with heart! Now there’s a vision for a future. Anarchy with healthy Heart Intelligence at it’s core!

The Function of Education : why we failed to stop the English Government prosecuting the Iraq War

As I edit this in England in 2021 and I observe head teachers and teachers willingly exposing the children in their care to a dangerous pathogen, after 20 months of pandemic, with no end in sight, with layers of command responsibility and culpability going all the way up to Parliament as a whole body, and the Government and 'Opposition' within it, all of them educated in their own time by the compulsion methodology and ideology, this rather badly typed (in the original form, when I was still dealing with serious issues within myself, or rather barely coping to be more honest) short piece is germaine.

"free yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds" ~ Bob Marley

"Education! Education! Education!" ~ Tony Blair

Why was it that millions upon millions of English people were unable to stop a few thousand English Ruling Class from initiating and persecuting an amoral, illegal war?

I think it all boils down the the function of Compulsory State Education.

Below is an excerpt from an article that explores what is most likely the hidden agenda of Compulsory (note that word) State Education (no child left behind) - its utility as a political inhibitor, designed to thwart emergent democratic organisation that might dislodge the established power groups from their dominating positions.

Compulsory - coerced education - is not what we are led to believe...

"The odd fact of a Prussian provenance for our schools pops up again and again once you know to look for it.

William James alluded to it many times at the turn of the century. Orestes Brownson, the hero of Christopher Lasch’s 1991 book, The True and Only Heaven, was publicly denouncing the Prussianization of American schools back in the 1840s. Horace Mann’s "Seventh Annual Report" to the Massachusetts State Board of Education in 1843 is essentially a paean to the land of Frederick the Great and a call for its schooling to be brought here.

That Prussian culture loomed large in America is hardly surprising, given our early association with that utopian state. A Prussian served as Washington’s aide during the Revolutionary War, and so many German-speaking people had settled here by 1795 that Congress considered publishing a German-language edition of the federal laws.

But what shocks is that we should so eagerly have adopted one of the very worst aspects of Prussian culture: an educational system deliberately designed to produce mediocre intellects, to hamstring the inner life, to deny students appreciable leadership skills, and to ensure docile and incomplete citizens in order to render the populace "manageable."

It was from James Bryant Conant-president of Harvard for twenty years, WWI poison-gas specialist, WWII executive on the atomic-bomb project, high commissioner of the American zone in Germany after WWII, and truly one of the most influential figures of the twentieth century-that I first got wind of the real purposes of American schooling.

Without Conant, we would probably not have the same style and degree of standardized testing that we enjoy today, nor would we be blessed with gargantuan high schools that warehouse 2,000 to 4,000 students at a time, like the famous Columbine High in Littleton, Colorado.

Shortly after I retired from teaching I picked up Conant’s 1959 book-length essay, The Child the Parent and the State, and was more than a little intrigued to see him mention in passing that the modem schools we attend were the result of a "revolution" engineered between 1905 and 1930.

A revolution? He declines to elaborate, but he does direct the curious and the uninformed to Alexander Inglis’s 1918 book, Principles of Secondary Education, in which "one saw this revolution through the eyes of a revolutionary."

Inglis, for whom a lecture in education at Harvard is named, makes it perfectly clear that compulsory schooling on this continent was intended to be just what it had been for Prussia in the 1820s: a fifth column into the burgeoning democratic movement that threatened to give the peasants and the proletarians a voice at the bargaining table. Modern, industrialized, compulsory schooling was to make a sort of surgical incision into the prospective unity of these underclasses.

Divide children by subject, by age-grading, by constant rankings on tests, and by many other more subtle means, and it was unlikely that the ignorant mass of mankind, separated in childhood, would ever re-integrate into a dangerous whole. Inglis breaks down the purpose - the actual purpose - of modem schooling into six basic functions, any one of which is enough to curl the hair of those innocent enough to believe the three traditional goals listed earlier:

  1) The adjustive or adaptive function. Schools are to establish fixed habits of reaction to authority. This, of course, precludes critical judgment completely. It also pretty much destroys the idea that useful or interesting material should be taught, because you can’t test for reflexive obedience until you know whether you can make kids learn, and do, foolish and boring things.

2) The integrating function. This might well be called "the conformity function," because its intention is to make children as alike as possible. People who conform are predictable, and this is of great use to those who wish to harness and manipulate a large labor force.

  3) The diagnostic and directive function. School is meant to determine each student’s proper social role. This is done by logging evidence mathematically and anecdotally on cumulative records. As in "your permanent record." Yes, you do have one.

  4) The differentiating function. Once their social role has been "diagnosed," children are to be sorted by role and trained only so far as their destination in the social machine merits - and not one step further. So much for making kids their personal best.

  5) The selective function. This refers not to human choice at all but to Darwin’s theory of natural selection as applied to what he called "the favored races." In short, the idea is to help things along by consciously attempting to improve the breeding stock. Schools are meant to tag the unfit - with poor grades, remedial placement, and other punishments - clearly enough that their peers will accept them as inferior and effectively bar them from the reproductive sweepstakes. That’s what all those little humiliations from first grade onward were intended to do: wash the dirt down the drain.

  6) The propaedeutic function. The societal system implied by these rules will require an elite group of caretakers. To that end, a small fraction of the kids will quietly be taught how to manage this continuing project, how to watch over and control a population deliberately dumbed down and declawed in order that government might proceed unchallenged and corporations might never want for obedient labor.

That, unfortunately, is the purpose of mandatory public education in this country.

And lest you take Inglis for an isolated crank with a rather too cynical take on the educational enterprise, you should know that he was hardly alone in championing these ideas. Conant himself, building on the ideas of Horace Mann and others, campaigned tirelessly for an American school system designed along the same lines.

Men like George Peabody, who funded the cause of mandatory schooling throughout the South, surely understood that the Prussian system was useful in creating not only a harmless electorate and a servile labor force but also a virtual herd of mindless consumers.

In time a great number of industrial titans came to recognize the enormous profits to be had by cultivating and tending just such a herd via public education, among them Andrew Carnegie and John D. Rockefeller. "

These words were written by John Taylor Gatto. They are accurate. They describe a fundamental reality that exists underneath and in spite of the many reforms in education, year after year,

Now you know why 30 million adults cannot stop a few thousand launching a war.

Question is what can we do about it?

Kindest regards

Corneilius

Know your enemy............

Nuts and Bolts of Western Civilisation

“it’s time to measure what we value most, rather than value what we measure most!”

The core values of mainstream political thought, which is what ‘conventional wisdom’ tends to focus upon, are not what we value as intrinsic to the human and humane experience. The reason for this is that for many millennia we have been ‘sold’ the mythology of Empire, we have been ‘spun’ a story that reflects the ‘wants’ of a powerful elite, an elite that holds they are the only ones who embody the ‘right’ to govern, and by that they mean the ‘right’ to exercise power over the majority according to their particular agenda. That power includes the power to decide who lives and who dies.

That this has led to the catastrophe of the war against terror, the degradation of the health of the environment upon which we all depend, to select but a few of the deeply unhealthy situations we are now faced with, is the truth of our present situation.

It is vitally important therefore to understand how this has come about, and what holds it in place.

1. Condition the children - prepare everyone for their place in the structure, filter out those who will not fit in. Demonise or dehumanzse them. Make them feel bad about themselves.

The education system is really a system of indoctrination that has been designed to modify the behaviour of all who pass through it. It was designed to fool all the people all the time. It sold the idea of ‘improvement’ so as to mask it’s true intent.

It was developed from studying the methodology of the Hindu system, because that was a system that was practically immutable. There was no mechanism within it for one to move up the ladder of the hierarchy. A very small minority held total power. When the British Merchantile Empire came to India, they could not dislodge the Hindu Empire, and thus the compromise of the Raj came into being.

In this, education has been the root cause of much of the problems we face today, because a child that has been adversely conditioned will never recover from that conditioning unless a situation arises to dispel the conditioned thinking, feeling and ways of perceiving the world the child has grown into. And in a society that is superstitious, insecure and excessively controlled, there are very few possibilities for this awakening to happen.

Those who set this indoctrination in place knew full well what they were doing, and in their writings to one another they were perfectly clear about this. That they did not hide their writings shows how fully assured they were of the success of their project.

The disruptive children in school are amongst the most healthy, for they show the falsehood of the system.

A clue to all this is in the oft used phrase “for your own good!”

Examine the fact that an adult will harm a child “for the childs own good”. Look at the reality of ‘bringing freedom’ to the Iraqi people!

2. Rig the Law. - Make the Law inaccessible to the majority, through expensive ritual and arcane language.

The law, like the processes of religion which ruled before it, was designed in such a manner that the ordinary person would have to engage a middle man, a form of ‘priesthood’ if you will, in order to engage in it’s processes. Much like the Church of the middle ages, the priesthood of the law, lawyers, barristers, attorneys, judges and the legislature act as the go-between for the ordinary people.

By this the system was able to dis-empower the people, and control them. And so it remains to this very day.

The Law was used in the transition to the Industrial Revolution to enable the Enclosure Acts which effectively meant that the mass of ordinary people could not grow their own food, and had to therefore depend upon the work available in the factories and their service industries to earn money to buy food. These Laws were enacted by and for the owners of the factories. Once the mass of people had ‘earned money’ as their prime resource, that led to the development of the consumer culture, which really is the production of useless products for profit and for distraction. (see 4. below)

3. Mask the reality. - Tell half truths. Market the product. Hide the conscious truth.

Like the Bible, the mythologies of Empire are constructs that are designed to look good, to appear to address the needs of the people, whilst actually re-enforcing the power of the elites. The ‘art’ of marketing is to modify behaviour rather than to sell the actual product on it’s own merits. Thus the product is bought because certain values are attached to it’s possession or use. Those values invariably resonate with internal insecurities, which the target audience is indoctrinated with through the education system and is largely unaware of on a conscious level.

4. Distraction is addiction. -Give them the games at the Coliseum!

Understanding the basics of addiction is essential to breaking the hold these systems have over us. Addiction is really a ‘distraction’ behaviour which arises because all of us have learned at a very young age to suppress certain feelings which we ought properly live fully. Growth though experiencing those feelings is of vital importance in the natural innate drive to reach our fullest potential. Those unlived out feelings lie within us, waiting to be lived. The urge to mature is the urge to reach full potential, and is a powerful energetic. The addictions serve to distract from the discomfort we all feel as a result of these unlived feelings.

Thus it is the person who is the active ingredient in the addiction, not the substance nor the pattern of distractive behaviour. This is why our culture demonises the addicts, and demonises certain substances that are used as distraction whilst approving of others, because in reality, those demonised addicts are those who are in some ways the most healthy, in that they refuse to suppress the symptoms of that induced failure to grow. By demonising certain substances one is thrown off the scent. They are demonised so as to confuse us, and to convince the rest of us that all is well. We know it is not.

6. Harm those who resist. - David Kelly. Bobby Sands. John Lennon. Brian Haw. Fela Kuti. Ken Sara Wiwa . Ghandi. Martin Luther King.

The final solution in the eyes of Empire is to use force, to go so far as to kill those who successfully resist, who evolve a way of thinking that exposes the Empires false clothing, and especially so if they begin to inspire others to do the same, if they begin to empower those around them. That the State reserves the right to kill, be it through the courts or through the use of Military force, ought to indicate the dreadful truth of this to anyone who thinks about it with any depth.

Using the Law and other tools, the Empire demonises a section of the people, calls them traitors, terrorists, criminals, anarchists, addicts and so those who are demonised, who are de-humanised become fair game in the eyes of the mass of conditioned people. The Jews in Poland. The Roma in Eastern Europe. The Africans in the West Indies. The Intellectuals in Cambodia. The Muslims in the UK. The Conspiracy Theorists in the USA. The demonised are different. Not ‘normal’. A threat.

And in the mythology of Empire all threats are to be ‘neutralised’.

7. Control access to food. - In nature all beings have direct access to their own food.

By controlling access to food, the powers are also able to adulterate that food. And they do. Because if our bodies are deprived of what they naturally need, of what they are evolved to eat and metabolise, they will suffer. We know now that that suffering is both physical, psychological, intellectual and emotional.

Studies have shown time and time and again that children fed good clean organic food respond with a higher degree of intelligence and physical stamina, amongst other things. We know that junk foods, sugar laden foods, processed foods and so on all contribute to ill-health, depression, extreme mood swings, degenerative diseases. In spite of the abundant research, governments still subsidise the bad food industry.

There’s a good reason for that, and it is this. We are what we eat and if we eat degraded foods, then our bodies and minds operate at below optimum levels. And that makes us easier to control.

Solutions.......

Heads up!

After my rants I had a think and want to share this with anyone who is seriously interested in people power. I have written about it before.

Please check out The Power Inquiry, 2006, a two year look into how democracy in the UK could be turned on it’s head so that we the people make the decisions, by having well informed discussions at the community level, street by street, parish by parish, ward by ward etc....and then deciding, with all the ’politicians’ confined to implementing those decisions, much like the employer/employee relationship, only more complex and transparant.

The Power Inquiry advocated removing the party whip where there are political parties, having a recall process, (being able to recall any official with a certain number of ’voters’ expressing a no confidence), no private funding for ’politicians’, transparant lobbying and much more. ..........

They carried out experiments in ’participative democracy’ all over the UK, from schools through to councils, with much success, using ideas that are working elsewhere as well as working out new ideas based upon peoples input at the grass roots level....people are naturally good at solving problems whne allowed to.

You can read about it in their book, which is available online at

http://makeitanissue.org.uk/devlog/2007/01/the_power_commission_was_estab.php

it’s a few pdf files. Read them,. really good stuff.

http://www.makeitanissue.org.uk

I read the book when it was published and it all made very good, common sense.

I also attended a conference, and worked with some very intelligent comitted people of ages ranging from 12 to 80......really inspiring.

David Cameron, Ed Milliband and Menzies Campbell all attended the conference, spoke ona panel on’stage, and gave lip service to the ideal, and then said later on, afetr the conference, that it was ’impractical’...quite patronising.. the media DID NOT REPORT or Publicise or indeed look too deeply into the Power Inquiry....for obvious reasons. The powerful do not want power invested in the people.....will not give up their fix, so to speak.

The people have to take power back.

I spoke to one of the sponsors, (an Indian Billionaire) who told me that the idea came about because some people feared a possible collapse at some time in the near future (5-10 years) and decided that people must learn to communicate and exercise power at the local level or all hell will break loose....

Suggestion : print some of the stuff out, pass the different sections to others in your collective to read, then have a chat about it all together, bringing all the ideas to each other..

Now that my anger has subsided ( I am, and always have been, really cut up about the harm caused to so many good people in Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan and elsewhere, I cannot and will not switch off my feelings on this - they are all beautiful, real, feeling people who are being harmed - I feel the pain of this and it does not diminish me -it spurs me on.) I am looking to the solutions we must evolve and what others have done that actually works.

So check out the info, and if it makes sense please pass it down the line....

We are the media.

Collaborators - I Rant!

Without exception, the bulk of the STOP THE WAR COALITION, the political parties, the media are WAR CRIMINALS, in that their behaviour alllows the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Holocaust in Palestine to continue unexposed for what they are. Their conduct is ancilliary to the comission of war crimes. By NOT CALLING FOR A GENERAL STRIKE at the very minimum, by NOT REPORTING THE WAR CRIMES and BY NOT DEMANDING THE THOSE RESPONSIBLE ARE ARRESTED, TRIED AND SENTENCED they are as the Vichy in France were, collaborators.

Grieve the 'official' Peace Movement

New Double A side Single to grieve the almost useless peace movement in the UK.

At the Rally in Trafalgar Square, yesterday, Saturday 16th March I approached a police officer and asked him did he know that it was 'conduct ancilliary to a war crime' to pay taxes to the UK Central Government. His reply was "It's more than my jobsworth" ....... this from one who took an oath to uphold and enforce the Law.

The lives of the children of Iraq are less than his jobs worth. The lives of our troops are less than his jobs worth.

6 years of war, of bloodhsed and chaos, which we are all of us, funding through our taxes, all these years and we have NEVER called for a general strike, the single most obvious way to bring down our Government and to force the return of our troops to their homes and the arrest and trial of the war criminals.

6 years of petitions to people who do not listen, and never have. We even re-elected the war criminals .

6 years of empty speeches, platitudes tokenisms while Brian Haw lives on the pavement outside Parliament with the help of a few solid supporters. Come rain, sleet, snow, frost or sunshine, Brian is there. Come the police to harrass and harm Brian he is stll there.

6 years of just one man, Chris Coverdale, reporting the war crimes to the police, demanding that they be investigated.

May Evans. Douglas Barker. Malcom Kendal Smith.

6 years of a few humane beings and 660 or so political 'animals' who sit in Parliament, of millions of mortgaged wage-slaves ignoring the plight of their brothers and sisters, and their children.

Actually it's more than 6 years. It's the base truth behind the lie of democracy in the United KINGdumb that the Empire exports it's horrors so that it's willing slaves consciences remain untouched.

Make Wars History! Iraq and War Law.

Not many people are aware that under existing UK Law (The International Criminal Court Act 2001 ) and International Law, those being :

i The General Treaty for the Renunciation of War 1928 [The Kellogg-Briand Pact].

ii The United Nations Charter 1945.

iii The Geneva Conventions 1948,

iv The UN Charter 1945,

v The Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948.

vi The Nuremburg Principles 1950.

vii the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court 1998.

viii Article 25 The Manual of Military Law.

IX The International Criminal Court Act 2001

the UK Government is engaged in, and is criminally liable for the illegal wars in iraq and Afghanistan that are wars of aggression, the supreme crime against humanity, under the Nurumberg Principles.

The UK Government is also in breach of the Kellog-Briand Pact and the other laws quoted above.

It has not, and never had, ANY AUTHORITY under the UN Charter to engage in this war.

The UK Government in 1998 ratified The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, and in 2001 enacted The International Criminal Court Act 2001.

This means that all those who were instrumental in planning and issuing the orders that caused the war to happen, and all who enable it to continue, can be tried before the ICC at the Hague as war criminals and can be arrested in the UK so that they may appear before the ICC to answer the charges.

It is the duty of every UK citizen to report this crime to the Police, that they might arrest those responsible.

Furthermore it is illegal tp pay taxes that support in any way any government that is committing a war crime.

It is therefore the DUTY of British Citizens to do what they can, under Law, to stop those crimes being committed.

To not do so makes each citizen, once they are aware of the Law, an ancilliary to a war crime.

Chris Coverdale and his team have done the research and have outlined the legal status of the Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and have collated the relevant information for your use at :

http://www.makewarshistory.org.uk

I urge you to review this information and to then report the crime at your local Police Station. You will be given a crime number, and at a later date, you will be interviewed so that you can detail the charges. The police are legally bound to investigate any reported crime.

I urge you also to refuse to pay any taxes to the Government, until such time as the war crimes are no longer being committed in your name with your taxes.

The procedure for both these actions is quite simple and more info can be found at their website.

The law is enforceable only by you and I, the citizens of the UK, none other. These laws exist and are fully functioning only when we exercise our will to see those laws upheld and enforced.

If your local MP, Peer etc has supported the War, then you can name them as particular war criminals. If we the people can indict and prosecute even one MP, then we can do do so for all those who are war criminals.

This is the only way we can stop wars.

By having those war criminals arrested and by refusing to fund the war through our taxation.

It can be done.

YOU CAN DO IT!

Together we can uphold and enforce the Law and bring the wars to an end.

Shock, Horror and Grim Reality.

In a Jersey children's' home police ‘search’ for evidence of serious abuse against children, perpetrated by adults ‘entrusted’ with the care of those children. An all too regular occurrence. On two levels.

Level One : media reporting, shock horror stories, investigations, some arrests, some fewer charges, court case, incarceration and then back to the continued general media silence on the underlying issues of ‘child abuse‘, a subject which is well studied, well understood (by those in the field such as Alice Miller, Carl Rogers, John Taylor Gatto et al)…and yet Government and those officially entrusted with the overall administration of welfare for our children studiously ignore the information offered, and the often sensible and deeply compassio0nate suggestions made by those I have mentioned.

Level Two : One in four English speaking children experience some form of abuse that causes actual harm, be it physical or psychological. One in four women will experience serious sexual assault in their lives. One in thirteen men will experience serious sexual assault in their lives (though there is reason to believe that this lower figure is due to under-reporting, male reticence and all that). In all cases, their behaviour will have changed as a result. As will the behaviour of those that witnessed the abuse. After all that is the basic reason given for justifying rules, laws and prison. Deterrence.

Unpalatable Truth Numero Uno : Governance over people, senseless Competition, pointless War, and abject Consumerism and even Justice, that blind woman with a scales and a sword to guide her, all depend upon this systemic abuse for their very life-blood. Without that systemically abusive childhood, without the woundings and reshaping of the human personality that results, Western Civilisation would not be what it is today.

And only a fool, a willing ignoramus or a ‘believer’ would imagine that those who pull the strings of Western Civilisation are unaware of this. In fact the historical record is clear. What do you think the imposed conditions of the IMF, WTO upon ‘third world’ countries and the Invasion of Iraq for the ‘good of the Iraqi People’ who love freedom really amount to?

Unpalatable Truth Numero Duo : They do know what they are doing. . From Jesuits through to Marketing men, from Corporate CEOs through to Newspaper Magnates, they do know what they are doing. They freely admit to it, though not often in public. They are proud of their achievements, their ability, as they see it, to fool all of the people, all of the time. Dick Cheney is a good example. They are responsible for what they do.

Oh dear!

Over the weekend I was chatting to a young friend, a girl of good ’background’ about the difficulties experienced in ‘relationships’, and in particular she was concerned with the ‘self-loathing’ that is generally the lot of men, something she was beginning to ’intuit’ in her own and in her friends experience. I too experienced that self-loathing. It is not uncommon. It is a widespread fact of life. Fact of life is that I hated myself. Men do hate themselves.

For my friend, as this information was dawning upon her, as she was coming to terms with it, she was experiencing a deep shock. Part compassion, part depression, part incredulity at the scale of and profound implications of this issue.

I hope I was able to assure her that, in spite of the scale of the problem, once the core issue has been identified, it can be approached in a way that may lead to a healing.

That knowing was better than not knowing, and far, far better than the typical descent into myth and counter myth that typifies accepted or conventional wisdom on the issue of relationships.

As spouted by various writings, from self-help soul-mate seekers manuals to so called ‘agony aunts’ such as Deirdre in the Sun, from the dictats of Cardinals and Evangelical Pastors to the strident manifestoids of ‘feminists’ and ‘Gay-Rights Activists’, from the admonishments of Dr. Spock through to the ’advice’ of all of whom ignore the underlying issue : our culture revolves around child abuse, and depends upon it. Only it is never admitted to nor called by it’s name.

No wonder men hate themselves. No wonder I hated myself for so many years. And it did change my behaviour. I was and I remain a behaviourally modified organism. It is a daily work I undertake, to undo the negative effects of that behavioural modification through abuse that I lived through. I know of others who were there and are in denial. Many others. The majority, even still, will not admit to the truth.

And yes, women also hate themselves….self hatred is not exclusive.

Self-Hatred is the core driver of our civilisation. The Nuclear Bomb, the near constant Destruction of the Environment, The Constancy of War, Viagra, are all the result of hatred. The spread of AIDS through Africa as Western Policy, the advance of the American Empire are all the result of hatred. Glossy Magazines that sell the illusion of perfection, that play upon known modified behavioural and psychological weaknesses in order to sell the product are all the result of hatred. Elitism, the sense that one is better than, above or superior to another is the result of hatred. Gossip columns and ‘reality’ TV are the result of hatred. Loathing is fertile ground indeed!

Wakey, wakey people. Love is the answer. Compassion is the key. Healing is the solution. And it starts at the individual level. As one discovers the truth, and learns and heals ones own life, one becomes a lighthouse alluding to the possibility for the same process in others lives.

And that is the core of the ‘revolution’ that must occur. It is personal. Do not expect those who have ‘normalised’ the abuse to change. They will not, unless they too make it personal. Person by person. Understand that the systems designed by those who abuse, who exercise power ‘over’ others will not change and are designed to resist change from within.

Thus the only way to bring those systems down is to refuse to comply. We must withdraw our support from them. We must not buy their products, their lies, their mythologies, their tainted foods. Without what we give to them, they will collapse. As the t-shirt has it, “Bite the hands that feed you poison”. Better still, feed yourself with what you know to be healthy. And do likewise for your children. For such is love.

The anger of love is a healer, the anger of self-hatred a destroyer.

Free Will and Indoctrination

Free Will and Indoctrination

Two concepts at odds with each other. One much vaunted, by those who gloat over their ability to control others whom they indoctrinate, above all else. The other seen, rightfully so, as a threat by those who value their integrity as humane beings.

Children sense that threat, though being small and vulnerable, they must acquiesce, in order to survive. It is unfortunate for so many that they forget this acquiescence.

Those that organise the indoctrination of others rely upon that forgetting for the only source of their power, and thus those who recall the resignation of their acquiescence, and recover their free will, are the ones who will no longer comply with those who indoctrinate.

As it is with taxation, under current circumstances, so terribly demonstrated in Iraq and Afghanistan. So many horrors, daily fare for those we have abandoned. Can you imagine the pain, the terror, the wounds those people must live with?

As it ever has been, since the city states first formed and centralised governance based upon might, a governance that feeds upon the forced labours of people, that exercises the supreme ’right’ to kill, to imprison, to torture and to bomb, and so darkened the lives of human beings, and of natural creation

The tide must turn.

Will you turn it? Will you be of the rocks, the beaches, the cliffs that repel that tide, so that your children, and theirs, may walk freely upon this Earth? Will you recover your free will? Will you reclaim your soul? Will you refuse to comply with the indoctrinated systems of fear and retribution, the powers of the wrathful state, the folly of the consumer capitalist dance of death?

For that is the first step in the rebellion that must take place if we are to truly honour the miracle of our children. Parents who have reclaimed their souls, who have seen the truth of the indoctrination will know at their very core the base crime it is to indoctrinate, and will not do so.

A generation of children allowed to grow naturally, to express their true identity, to read with their own innate intelligence, the world around them, will naturally resolve the issues we are all faced with.

They will also inspire their parents in ways that their parents, and their wider community and extended family cannot but be grateful for.

The real battle is won internally, without recourse to violent confrontation, in the reclaiming of our free will, our very soul, our ability to love unconditionally. This battle is the one those that seek to control us fear the most. That is why the weapons of mass distraction are so sophisticated, so relentless.

That is why the internet is feared, that is why there are attempts to enclose the web, to integrate censorship, to flood it with banal distraction and pornography, as it is where free will may reign, it is where conversations may take place that can assist in the internal battle, for we soul seekers in the west are beginning to realise that we are not alone, we are not isolated and that we are not mad.

As we reclaim our souls, as we release ourselves from the bondage, from the mental slavery, from the fear, as we reach nirvana, as we assume our birthright of enlightenment, we will then have the sweet question of what to do with that free will.

The further work will be strenuous, will tax us to our limits at times and yet is underpinned by the true essence of nature, our own nature, the very spirit of life. It is not to be taken too lightly, though it must be taken with delight. It is a work that is a mirror of natures amazing ability to feed and nurture all living beings that exist.

One must be happy to assume this work. Proud, determined, convinced and at ease with the role we must, each of us, play. Each of us the saviour. If we so chose.

Free will.

Alco-idiot!

Alco-idiot (with a silent ’t’ a la France) - a terror orgainsation on our doorsteps!

It’s Monday night, I am watching a riveting lecture about 9/11, CIA. ISI, MI6 et al.

I am pissed. Organic Cider. Lovely stuff! Which makes for difficult viewing of aforementioned lecture.

Note to self : do not drink alcohol after getting up from sleep, on an empty stomach, irrespective of the time of day and expect to be able to take in a lecture.

However I am not brawling in the street. It’s not Friday night. Blessings counted.

When we see reports on the occurrence of regular English Friday night centre of town street brawls, and when we know that the government is doing nothing useful (24 hour licensed drinking??) to help ameliorate this situation, we see evidence of Terrorism, encouraged by the state, sponsored by Alcohol Companies

Terrorist organisations working for the tax-man? What gives?

Well. If one is not of the brawlers fraternity, Friday night can be terrifying….. if one happens to be in the locale. To be terrified in one’s own homeland is the object of all terrorism!

Alcohol, that curious substance, is subject to strict control by Government. Pot, which grows naturally in many blessed places is not.. The government refuses to 'control' pot is because the very last thing our political and business leaders want is a happy, gentle and thoughtful population. Those kinds of people DO NOT GO TO WAR!

So the Government bans Pot! Now you know why.

A daily ‘tot’ of rum was part of the pay structure of sailors and soldiers of the Imperial Military forces in the 1800s.

A tot of pot would have been somewhat inconvenient.

One of the phrases the lecture turned up was “the criminalisation of the state“. Nice phrase!

I understand, from the historical record, that in most cases Government is really all about the legitimisation of what ought to be called crimes. Education (Indoctrination into Obedience, Privatised for Profit). Farming (Pharming - Animal Slavery and Cruelty). Entertainment (Weapons of Mass Distraction, Entrainment To Fear and Insecurity). Sport (Negative Nationalism). Capitalism (Wage Slavery, Commodifying Life). Consumerism (Addiction, Environmental Destruction). Vaccination (Cash for Pharmaceutical Companies, Population Control - AIDS). Health Care (Disease Creation for profit), Mental Health Care (Disease Creation for Profit - Seroxat, Prozac et al) and so on.

Manufacturing of dissent. Another cool phrase. Applies to those who read material that suggests that ‘going after the terrorists is good, but NOT invading Iraq is not”…duh!……..and think that they are somehow part of the anti-war movement. I dissent!

Sustainable Development! What the hell does that really mean? It means the supremacy of fantasy over practical probability. Applies to those who believe that we can live as we do, and NOT destroy use up or otherwise exploit the various ‘resources’ scattered about this planet. Like driving eco-fueled cars and not considering the HUGE cost to environment of the manyfacture of the damnd vehicles themselves. Green? Bloody naive if you ask me!

Proper Gander. Take a GOOD look at things! As opposed to propaganda.

Behaviourally Modified Organisms

The Real Legacy of Education in the 21st Century or The Death of The Species!

Creature abuse for cash!

Over the past decade or so much has been written in the media and elsewhere about the issue of genetically modified organisms. And of course it’s a vital issue to get to grips with. The idea of tinkering with the core of any naturally evolved creature merely for profit is both repulsive and ignoble.

What have we done to our children?

However there is a far more dangerous practice underway, one that has state and societal sanction and has been happening for centuries. This practice is at the root of the causes of disease, war, greed, psychological insecurity, racism, sexism and much more besides.

I speak of the process of behaviourally modifying organisms, specifically, children.

Most of us are well aware of the religious inspired dictum “give me a child before the age of 7, and I will give you the man.” That this is now being done by the state is probably no surprise. We have, most of us, been to school. Sat exams. Failed or succeeded. We have been judged.

That it is now mostly being done by the state at the behest of Industry, an is not primarily for the welfare of the child, may come as a shock. That it is hardly ever clearly articulated, though current politicians and educationalists are quite brazen about this, as in describing education as a way of training a work-force, but is couched in terms of ‘opportunity‘ and ‘equality‘ is plain to all!

Work, as we all know, is well trodden path route towards opportunity.

That parents willingly submit their children to this process is, initially, far more difficult to understand. Though of course those parents themselves have been behaviourally modified, and having been told for many generations that it is for their own good, they concur. Swimming against the torrent is somewhat difficult. Ask any conscientious objector in Americas Armed Forces!

And these are the facts. Parents do send their children to be behaviourally modified by the state, primarily for the pecuniary benefit of rich industrialists, those who own the means of production of goods, be it steel or plastic, dull or colourful, toxic or otherwise.

And we all know that this incessant production of goods is causing damage to our environment in such ways that it’s very ability to support us is seriously threatened.

We know too from history that those who exercise power over others will not desist, that they are struck with a congenital madness that precludes change. There are the victims of their own behavioural programming. They are stuck.

And while we may appear to be stuck, that is not necessarily the case.

I don’t want to appear to trivialise the ‘achievements of civilisation’ or the ’sacrifice of past generations’, nonetheless it cannot be said that the rampant unhappiness of peoples in industrialised and developed nations is a form of thriving. It is more like mere survival. With abstract distractions a plenty to take one’s mind off the matter.

Entertainment, as the Roman Emperors well knew, has it’s value in an Imperial Society!

Nonetheless, like the so called weeds, we, the people, the plebeian masses, the proletariat, the consumers, require constant ‘pruning’ so that we do not thrive, other than in prescribed ways that serve the Empire.

That is so, and from the pint of view of Empire, must be so, because it is our very nature, as human beings, as natural creatures, to thrive upon this Earth. Empire knows this! Entertainment serves to distract our attention from that various pruning’s that occur.

Investigate your educational experience.

Look carefully at the literature you were exposed to at the various stages of your education. Look carefully at how you were made to feel about yourself, in comparison with what was presented as the ideal.

And whilst doing so, bear in mind the following quotes, from those that founded the education that you and I underwent. And that our children will undergo. If we allow it to happen!

What they wrote about us!

Excerpts from the first mission statement of Rockefeller's General Education Board as they occur in a document called Occasional Letter Number One (1906):

"In our dreams...people yield themselves with perfect docility to our molding hands. The present educational conventions [intellectual and character education] fade from our minds, and unhampered by tradition we work our own good will upon a grateful and responsive folk. We shall not try to make these people or any of their children into philosophers or men of learning or men of science. We have not to raise up from among them authors, educators, poets or men of letters. We shall not search for embryo great artists, painters, musicians, nor lawyers, doctors, preachers, politicians, statesmen, of whom we have ample supply. The task we set before ourselves is very simple...we will organize children...and teach them to do in a perfect way the things their fathers and mothers are doing in an imperfect way."

In a speech he gave before businessmen prior to the First World War, Woodrow Wilson made this unabashed disclosure:

"We want one class to have a liberal education. We want another class, a very much larger class of necessity, to forgo the privilege of a liberal education and fit themselves to perform specific difficult manual tasks."

From John Taylor Gatto :

If you have a hard time believing this revolution in the contract ordinary Americans (and Europeans) had with their political State was intentionally provoked, it's time to meet William Torrey Harris, US Commissioner of Education from 1889 to 1906. Nobody else who rose out of the ranks of professional pedagogues, other than Cubberley, ever had the influence Harris did. Harris standardized our schools and Germanized them. Listen as he speaks in 1906:

Ninety-nine [students] out of a hundred are automata, careful to walk in prescribed paths, careful to follow the prescribed custom. This is not an accident but the result of substantial education, which, scientifically defined, is the subsumption of the individual.

-The Philosophy of Education (1906)..

Listen again to Harris, giant of American schooling, leading scholar of German philosophy in the Western hemisphere, editor/publisher of The Journal of Speculative Philosophy which trained a generation of American intellectuals in the ideas of the Prussian thinkers Kant and Hegel, the man who gave America scientifically age-graded classrooms to replace successful mixed-age school practice:

The great purpose of school can be realized better in dark, airless, ugly places.... It is to master the physical self, to transcend the beauty of nature. School should develop the power to withdraw from the external world.

-The Philosophy of Education (1906)..

Nearly a hundred years ago, this schoolman thought that self-alienation was the secret to successful industrial society. Surely he was right. When you stand at a machine or sit at a computer, you require an ability to withdraw from life, to alienate yourself without a supervisor. How else could that be tolerated unless prepared in advance by simulated Birkenhead drills? School, thought Harris, was sensible preparation for a life of alienation.

Can you say he was wrong?

That was from John Taylor Gatto's essay.

These brazen statements of the hiddden agenda of Education belie the stated ‘commitment’ of the State and of many others, to the child’s welfare. Rest assured that nothing of this has fundamentally changed in the intervening years, the agenda is till firmly in place. Witness the charade of elections in the USA, the horror of wars in worldwide which we fund with our labour and taxes and the blood of our sons and daughters, our brothers and sisters, our fathers and mothers, be they civlians or military. Observe the destruction of the environment. Join the dots!

Now, do the work, free your mind from all mental, psychologicl and emtional slavery. And do the real work of Revolution. Start with yourself and the rest is assured!

For inspiration I reccommend, if I may be so bold, my song about education.

Children are intelligent, Children are beautiful, Children are creators

Nature Works!

And this we know to be one of the fundamental truths of our very lives.

Nature works beautifully, and in doing so provides every living thing within nature the resources to meet those beings needs so that each can grow towards full potential, from microbes to the largest whales!

Nature does this by sharing those resources, through the growth of each living being and through constant recycling, thus creating no waste.

We would do well to mimic natures observed proceeses and innate values - in general resources are not witheld from those that need them, and there is ample evidence of widespread altruism in nature too!

Nature is not a series of mechanical processes that science of old held, there is a sentience and intelligence at work here. Just because we do not speak the lingo, does not mean the inhabitants are stupid..

Western Civilisations idea that the human being is the most intelligent creature here, or that humanity is to dominate nature and exploit nature are blatantly untrue. We are differnet, yes, and so are all living beings.

It follows that there must be something within all living beings that allows them to get information and to respond appropriately to that information so as to thrive.

Current research into the heart suggest that the heart is also a sensing organ, and that the heart can transmit and receive electromagnetic signals. The heart emits an electromagnetic pulse that is 5000 times greater than that of the brain.

Find out more about this incredible research and what it implies.............

Note too that in school the heart is sentimentalised, through literature and a false evelevation and portrayal of science, and thus the conditioned brain is favoured as an information processor.

Without access to that part of us that connects to, is integrated with therefore accurately and reads nature, it is no surprise that so much of what we, in the westernised post-idustrialised world do that does not work, and is in fact destroying the vary basis for healty life, for all life.

Yes We can!

Obamas latest video juxtaposes various singers against his electioneering phraseology and uses slick marketing techniques to make him attractive. It appalls me that otherwise intelligent friends of mine, not to mention millions of other people, are taken in by this sort of thing. So here's my reply!

Yes we can, yet not the way THEY prescribe! Here's why.

The progression of what can be called 'urban culture', the culture of the (scare)city has evolved through interfering with the naturally evolved, direct and sustainable relationship between people and their food. A middle man was created. A violent one at that.

Thus the creation of the Wrathful Gods of the Sky and Beyond, as opposed to beneficient Gods of the Woods, the Plains, the Sea and the Rivers, evolved to redirect peoples awareness away from what is all around us, away from what nurtures us in abundance, to what exists in the suitably conditioned mind. The process starts with the indoctrination of the children. The work ethic is amyth of Imperial Culture.

Given that we KNOW that indigenous aboriginal peoples are fitter, happier and more or less in tune with their habitat where as we are less healthy, deeply unhappy and obviously out of tune with our habitat, it makes sense to me to re-establish those prior relationships within the infrastructure that exists.

For example Cuba, a country of 11 Million People, have managed to convert their entire food production to bio-dynamic permacultural methods, with the resultant improvement of health physical and psychological for their people.

That process also had the effect of strengthening community, as people exchanged both foods and growing tips (valuable comoodities and valuable information) from person to person, community to community.

Most if not all 'underdeveloped' countries could easily do the same. That is a large part of what most of the 'campesinos' in South America are fighting for, the right to live that much closer to their roots, according to their own chosen culture. We can too, though the process will be more difficcult for us. That does not make it any less worthy of our fullest attention.

We in the west are funding our Governments. We are funding our Corporations. Thus we ARE partly responsible for what those entities do. If we cease to fund them, then we are taking responsibility for our part in their negative and destructive activities by withdrawing from them.

That is not to say that those in Government and in control of the Corporations (and Banks) are any less respsonsible for the choices they make, fo what they are doing with our money and energy that is damaging our environemtn, and harming people.

Nontheless, if I pay taxes, a large proportion of those taxes are being used to pay off loans which are used to support the Military Industrial Complex, the Pharamceutical unHealth Industry, etc etc and are ultimately pocketed by the bankers who lend the money. The Politicans and CEOs are bought off with cash, once they have done their jobs. As in Tony "three jobs" Blair or John "Carlyle" Major, etc etc....

I am labouring a point here. It cannot be overstressed.

The best way for us to recoup our moral and practical responsibility is to therefore refuse to comply, to start to recraft our lives so as to recreate a closer relationship between ourselves and our food, our environment, to recraft our lives so that our values are to do with family, community and sound ecology as oppose to consumerism, warfare and amassing wealth.....

We can do this. We know that our governments WILL NOT DO THIS. Those that oppose systme from within are dealt with quite severely, and in such a manner as to warn off others.

To all those who believe (and it is a belief) that we NEED RULERS I say this.

No we don't. What we need are good co-ordinators!

There is a far greater and natural desire amongst people to work together for each other than there is to compete. But since we have been born into an Imperial Cutlture, we were raised to believe its myths, and to fear both it's rulers and the lack of rule at the same time... a common dichotomy, beloved of Catholics, Jews and Islam as well as a quite few others......

Nature is self-organising, it is a sentient process and we are fundamentally of nature, moreso than we are of the Imperial Culture. Of course the conditioning is profound and held in place, as I have said, by fear.

The antidote is love, and the source of love is a heart felt awareness of who we really are and how fortunate we are in being on this Earth, with all the freely avilable abundance that is nature.

The history of the vote is the history of a sorry compromise whereby the pain has been transferred rather than dealt with. In much the same way that the pollution of manufacturing has been transferred to China, alongside the drudgery of the 7 day factory week, workers hostels etc etc..... basically the same conditions that existed in 1780 in Englands Industrial revolution, with the ever present threat of death and brutality by the state to maintain the status quo. Chine executes, under law, at a minimum, 10,000 people annually.

Look to your history, my fellow citizens of the UK and the USA. These are the facts. When the 'workers' got the vote, the women did not. When women first got the vote, they had to be property owners! Or married to property owners.

And still today, ALL mothers are as yet unpaid in our culture. Think about that. The single most imoportant human activity, nurturing the young ones, is still a form of slavery. For many it is a comfortable slavery, yet that comfort was the painful subject of "The Womens Room" and "The Female Eunuch" and others, and the truths expressed in those books remain unpalatable for the majority of men in our culture.

No, I do not subscribe to voting for an elected representative who has been compromised. I subscribe to what was outlined in the POWER INQUIRY, a devolution of power to the community, so that Government merely manages as we direct. We are intelligent, compassionate and willing, most of us, to work together... do look at the research done by the POWER INQUIRY, and come back to me - the political and corporat(e) elites have poo-poo'd that research because it is a serious threat to their power.

http://makeitanissue.org.uk/devlog/2007/01/the_power_commission_was_estab.php

And for those of my critics, let me say this. My current Carbon Footprint is one 5th of the average of the UK, and it is so by my choice. I choose to live without central heating, without a car, without holidays, without a bigger TV screen, without newspapers. I choose to eat a less varied diet of organic UK sourced foods. I choose to wear out my second-hand clothes. I choose to not use chemicals in my home. All these are choices. One day soon I hope to access an allottment and grow as much of my own food as possible. I live on around £70 per week, I contribute taxes only through my purchases. I am self employed and that's fine by me.

We can, all of us, live well, with far less than what we currently use up of the earths resources. Indeed there are many who do so. We could certainly live without Governments and Corporations that make and profit from wars. The Merchants and Managers of Death. This all boils down to a choice, and it is our choice. It is not fate nor is it an accident.

So, yes, we can. And we will do it sooner or later, or quite possibly perish. Sooner would be more honourable. Certainly more enjoyable. What a mission! And surely, a gift to those to come.
